A 53-year-old lady presented with an 18-month history of an erythematous pruritic rash that came on 3 weeks following the COVID Moderna vaccination booster. She has a complex background history with CKD stage 5 secondary to autosomal polycystic kidney disease, and she was awaiting a renal transplant for this.
Subsequently following the rash, she developed a period of desquamation and over the following 6 months a tan like colour to her skin, especially torso, back and limbs with evidence of tiny white crystals over the superficial layer in keeping with a diagnosis of uraemic frost. Treatment involves renal replacement therapy.
Written informed consent was obtained from the patient to publish this report in accordance with the journal’s patient consent policy” on the title page of the manuscript.
