# Welcome to Authorea!

Hey, welcome. Double click anywhere on the text to start writing. In addition to simple text you can also add text formatted in boldface, italic, and yes, math too: $$E = mc^{2}$$! Add images by drag’n’drop or click on the “Insert Figure” button.

I am Andreas and I am trying to understand what this Authorea editor is all about.

Citing other papers is easy. Voilà: (CMS/CERN 2012) or (Holstein_2009). Click on the cite button in the toolbar to search articles and cite them. Authorea also comes with a powerful commenting system. Don’t agree that $$E = mc^{3}$$?!?

I am not sure this is correct. Here is the correct one:

$F \propto \frac{m_1m_2}{d^2}$ where $$F$$ is the force, $$m_1$$ is the mass of the sun, $$m_2$$ is the mass of the earth, and $$d$$ is the distance between them (Antoniou 2007).

Highlight the text you want to discuss or click the comment button. Find out more about using Authorea on our help page.

And here is a new reference (Antoniou 2005).

Below is a photograph of the Antonious taken many years ago. The little girl in the front is my little sister who is now 56 years old!
