Passive round-robin differential-quadrature-phase-shift quantum key distribution with untrusted detectors
Abstract
In this paper, we proposed a new type of passive RRDPS-QKD scheme based on Hong-Ou-Mandel interference. Our scheme requires two legitimate parties prepare their signal state with two non-orthogonal bases instead one in original protocol. With these characteristics, we prove the equivalency between our protocol and original one, and demonstrate its detector-flaw-immune feature. Furthermore, our scheme not only inherits the merit of better tolerance of bit errors and of finite-sized-key effects, but can be implemented with essential similar hardware to measurement device independent QKD (MDI-QKD), so it has great compatibility with the current quantum system.
