Growing children need the stimulation of playing outdoors, whether on the playground or taking part in specific sporting activities. Children aged 6 to 16 often gravitate to playing specific sports as opposed to playground games, which younger children tend to play. When diverse sporting areas are offered, giving children a greater choice of sports to play, more children will take part in these types of activities. Healthy participation helps a child grow mentally and physically and stimulating their enjoyment of various sports through well marked, specifically designated areas, will go a long way to assisting with this.
