Abstract

Motivation: One of the downreaching questions asked by the mircoscopists is what is a reasonable number of collected emitters in order to reconstruct an image with STORM/PALM technique.
Results: model which takes into account both sampling and localization errors has been formulated no systematic approach has been adopted in microscopy, where images are usually rendered by representing localized molecules with Gaussian distributions n fidelity with different established image similarity measures Furthermore, we analyze the recovered spatial frequency spectrum (optical transfer function) for different reconstruction arrangements.
