AbstractThe paper takes a critical look on existing approaches and online tools that are supposed to enhance sharing and re-using of innovative pedagogical scenarios between teachers: IMS LD, LAMS, LessonPlanner etc.In the light of the new national strategy for lifelong learning, we argue that there’s a need for a new type of lesson scenario sharing platform that would promote new learning theories, would be easy to use and scale up sharing and reusing of pedagogical scenarios between teachers. The paper introduces the framework and online tool called LePlanner that is designed as a result of this line of thinking. We summarise the results of the first evaluation study, which engaged 20 teachers in using the tool actively of the period of 4 months. Keywords: pedagogical scenario, authoring tool, LePlannerIntroductionOne part of the new national strategy for lifelong learning is dedicated to the change in the approach to learning. More precisely this part highlights that in the 21-century teacher is no longer the only source of knowledge and information. The teacher’s role is to support student in achieving a higher order thinking skills like analyzing, evaluating, creating. The main task is to create such learning opportunity and conditions in which learner is active and involved in the learning process. Learners should be able to сooperate and learn from each other and take responsibility for their own learning (The Estonian Lifelong Learning Strategy 2020). It is obvious that this approach to learning requires to modify existing teaching practices. From our own practical experience (we have conducted a large number of inservice courses for Estonian teachers) we can affirm that it is not a trivial task.Teacher should become a facilitator who does not teach anymore but guides the learners and provides to bring about deep meaningful learning. And it is clear that the way of planning and describing learner's activity should change as well. Important to note that the format of the pedagogical scenario should support teachers in changing them approach to learning. And before going with the discussion we would like to mention what is the pedagogical scenario in our research context. We defined (Kurvits, 2015) the pedagogical scenario as template for describing, sharing and re-using innovative teaching practices. The pedagogical scenario promotes new learning theories and allows teachers to use this as guidance that support them in implementing new practices and methods. For example, trialogical approach to learning that is focused on process of creating and developing collaboratively new material, conscious knowledge advancement, discovery, and innovation (Hakkarainen, K.,Paavola, S. 2007).\cite{Hakkarainen}So, the pedagogical scenario should reflect how teacher facilitate learning and creativity, engage students in solving authentic problems, support cooperation between students, model innovative thinking with using ICT.But a tool for creating this kind of the pedagogical scenario is still missing. Our research questions are:How can innovative teaching practices, methods and approaches be described and adopted by other teachers? How can display through the pedagogical scenario learner’s activity, engagement or creativity? How do teachers accept the new tool and format for creating a pedagogical scenario? This paper is organized as follows: firstly, the paper takes a critical look on existing approaches and online tools for creating, re-using and sharing of pedagogical scenarios. The paper introduces the framework and online tool called LePlanner that is designed as a result of our line of thinking. Finally, the paper presents the results of the first eval uation study.
