Abstract

A trial was done with the intention of considering the examining influence of accelerated aging on seed performance standards in chickpea invigorated seeds at Lab Experimentation Center, Department of Genetics and Plant Breeding, State Seed Testing Laboratory, Naini Agricultural Institute, Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology and Science, Prayagraj, (U.P.) during rabi 2017-2020. The experiment was carried out with a chickpea variety (Pusa-362) in CRD (Complete Randomized Design) in lab conditions. The evaluation was done on, vigor and quality traits. While studying the effect of priming over artificial aged seeds in the laboratory condition, treatment, ageing and priming and interaction effect between different treatment and ageing duration were significant for germination percentage, root length, shoot length, seedling fresh weight, seedling dry weight, vigour index-I and vigour index-II,
