Abstract

Objective: An active role for the immune system in controlling the progress of multiple myeloma (MM) has been postulated for many years. However, the T-cells and their phenotype in MM remain to be elucidated. In this study, we compared the phenotype of T-cells in MM patients and healthy donors. The expression of chemokine recepptor marker (CCR7), senescent marker (CD57) , co-stimulator marker(CD28), activation marker (HLA-DR and CD38), and differentiation marker (CD45RA and CD45RO) , were assessed on T cells from MM patients and Healthy Donors (HD) using multicolor flow cytometry (MFC). Methods: from June 2021 to october 2022, 17 newly diagnosed MM patients were selected from the Affiliated Hospital of Chengde Medical College, and 20 healthy people were selected as control group. MFC was used to detect the markers on T cells in the peripheral blood of the patients and HD.
