Inflammation is a protective response from our body to an injury in the
form of five cardinal signs. It is divided into acute and
chronic.Additionally, practically every autoimmune disease, from gout to
inflammatory bowel disease, has it as one of the primary causes. For
reducing inflammation steroidal as well as non-steroidal
anti-inflammatory drugs are used. There are three important types of
inflammatory mediators. In this review, we will discuss inflammation,
drugs and their mechanism and some inflammatory diseases.
