Abstract
In an outcome-based education, teaching learning methodology made
students to learn the concepts and apply on real world scenario in
developing a project. To enrich the project development skill of the
students, a self-study component course was introduced in the curriculum
named “Cloud Computing” for the under graduate students, where
students learn the concept and strategies in cloud scenario and
developed a project to solve some real-world challenges in cloud.
Self-study component introduced in the cloud computing course helped the
students to learn the CloudSim simulation tool and carry out the project
on real world strategies in cloud. Even self-study component helped the
faculties to review the students based on rubrics and evaluate. The
self-study approach helped the students to solve the problems with
project techniques than learning programming construct.
