Use of CytoSorb in mushroom’s intoxication due to amanita phalloides: a
case report
Abstract
Amanita Phalloides is a poisonous mushroom belonging to Amanitaceae
family. It is one of the most dangerous mushrooms known to date and the
ingestion of its part leads to death in 70/80% of cases if not treated.
Here we presented a case of a patient with amanita intoxication treated
with CRRT + CytoSorb before liver transplantation. The therapy seems to
be effective in the patient’s haemodynamics stabilization and reducing
serum amanitin levels. Unfortunately, the patient died as a result of
post-operative complications.
