Since pemphigus blisters are intraepidermal, scarring should induce at
most a post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. We describe a very atypical
and unusual course of pemphigus vulgaris with extensive keloid formation
despite high systemic steroids. This could be promoted by the severe
