We described SLE- patient with long- term RHTN, who presented with PRES syndrome, and finally diagnosed as carbamazepine induced HTN. A literature review shows only three patients with neurologic deficit in the context of carbamazepine induced HTN. This is valuable to always exclude drugs effects in RHTN.
